Santa Teresa di Gallura 2

Santa Teresa di Gallura

A jewel nestled among the rocks of Gallura

Overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio, the village of Santa Teresa di Gallura stands on a promontory in the far north of Sardinia, in the famous Gallura region.

From the impressive Longosardo Tower, built at the request of the Spanish King Philip II, one can admire the bay to the east, where the tourist port is located (from which ferries also leave for La Maddalena and nearby Bonifacio in Corsica), and to the west the spectacular Rena Bianca town beach, overlooked by the Moresco Hotel.

In summer, the town comes alive with tourists and vacationers who crowd the many clubs, restaurants and bars in the old town and along the famous "promenade".

From Santa Teresa di Gallura you can reach other famous beaches, such as those of Capo Testa (Rena di Ponente and Rena di Levante), La Marmorata, Baia Santa Reparata or the very special Valle della Luna, scene of the “Bocche Music Festival” held in August.
